At Agapé Hospice, we don't just focus on providing medical assistance. We also provide comprehensive grief support services for the family members and close friends of our patients. We know how difficult it can be to accept the passing of a loved one. Though there is nothing that we can do to reduce the impact of your loved one's passing, we strive to provide the best in multicultural, faith-based spiritual and emotional support.
What is Grief Support?
The emotional and psychological consequences of losing a loved one can never be underestimated. Both family members and close friends may acutely feel the oncoming loss of a family member, and there may be residual feelings even after some time. Through our grief support services, we hope to help you celebrate the life of your family member and aid you and your family in focusing on the positive aspects of your family member's journey. Death is a natural part of life that we must all go through, but with the appropriate grief and hospice care, we can ensure that your family member's passing is as gentle and comfortable as possible.
What Does Grief Support Include?
Our grief support services are available both throughout the end-of-life process and after a loved one's passing. Our services include:
- Multicultural, faith-based support. The passing of a loved one is an emotional process, and there are no easy ways to handle it. Our compassionate, caring team will be able to give you and your family the tools that you need to get through this difficult time.
- Emotional support and counseling. Our staff members will help you in dealing with your emotions throughout the process of care. As your loved one's passing approaches, there may be many things that you feel you need to discuss. We will be able to assist you not only with your personal feelings but also in expressing and communicating them with others.
- Grief counseling services. After the passing of your loved one, there is residual emotional impact. Our services don't end when your family member passes; we offer constructive counseling sessions for yourself and your other family members through the anniversary of the death.
Our professional team will share more about the benefits of our services for both your loved one and your family. At Agapé Hospice, our goal isn't just to deliver the necessary care to our patients; we hope to alleviate the emotional, spiritual, and psychological challenges that our patients and their families may encounter.
