The four stories we tell ourselves about death

Wednesday, November 08, 2017 | Agape Staff

Philosopher Stephen Cave begins with a dark but compelling question: When did you first realize you were going to die? And even more interesting: Why do we humans so often resist the inevitability of death? Cave explores four narratives -- common across civilizations -- that we tell ourselves "in order to help us manage the terror of death."

Our hospital is a tertiary care facility that is right off interstate. We get patients from across the country and around the world. This has been my most difficult placement. Assisting a patient back to Pakistan was easier than South Carolina. Your team will remain in my contact list. I only wish I had found them sooner.

Blessings....
