  • Q. How do I become an Agapé Volunteer?

    A. Check the location tab on our website and find the closest office in your location. Call and schedule an appointment to meet the volunteer coordinator in your area. Fill out a volunteer application, and get scheduled for orientation.

  • Q. How much time is required to volunteer?

    A. Agapé Hospice welcomes any amount of time a person is willing to give. Two to four hours per week scheduled between two days is encouraged. Volunteers choose where and when to share their gift of time.

  • Q. What skills are required to volunteer?

    A. The only thing required is the desire, compassion and willingness to give the gift of time. Any talent or skill you may have can be used in creative ways to improve the quality of life of our patients.

  • Q. What will I be able to contribute as a volunteer?

    A. There are numerous administrative and patient-centered activities a volunteer can perform. Sharing your smile, holding a hand, listening to thoughts and stories, or reading are all activities which help improve the quality of life for a patient. Administrative duties might include filing, copying, event planning, phone answering, and other duties that would normally be associated with an office setting.

I want to start by saying Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I have worked with Agape since 2011 and been in hospice since 2005. All of these years did not prepare me to be a family member. I cannot say enough amazing things about our staff. They made this very surprising and short process a beautiful one that was full of love, comfort, and compassion. I want to say thank you to each and every one of you. Thank you for sharing this moment with me and my family.
